Loganair & Suckling Airways

On the 8th July 2011, Loganair announced that it had acquired Suckling Airways and that Suckling would operate in future as a wholly owned subsidiary. Together, the two airlines become a major player in UK and European regional aviation, with a combined fleet of 25 aircraft comprising Saab 340’s, Dornier 328-100’s, Twin Otters and BN Islanders, and employ in excess of 500 staff.

Suckling Airways will continue to be based at Cambridge Airport and will maintain its own AOC and other licences. The Suckling fleet of Dornier 328-100 aircraft, so popular in the UK and European wetlease and charter market, will be fully available to existing and new customers.

Loganair will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2012, and Suckling celebrated its 25th anniversary in April 2011, so the two airlines between them have huge experience in delivering the excellent customer experience both are well known for throughout the airline industry.
